The members of the Department of Instruction are committed educators who serve as an assistive team in providing systematic support for continuous improvement as each school site endeavors to reach optimum levels of student achievement. We believe that high quality classroom instruction is essential for academic progress and the key to closing achievement gaps among racial, ethnic, linguistically diverse, and socioeconomic groups of students. With that in mind, we encourage staff to develop and use standards-driven/data-driven instructional strategies and approaches that will engage students deeply in their own learning and achievement.
